We designed this family home to be fully disability-friendly, ensuring accessibility and comfort for all family members. Thoughtful features such as ramps at doorways, strategically placed grab bars, and ample space for wheelchair movement have been seamlessly integrated into the design. The design direction of the house embraces a modern industrial aesthetic, characterized by the use of raw and textured materials that exude both warmth and sophistication.
Red brick walls, raw plaster finishes, and dark-colored finishes create a bold, contemporary look, while raw patterned laminate for cabinets adds depth and visual interest. Large windows and skylights flood the interior with natural light, enhancing the sense of openness and connection to the outdoors.
At the heart of the home lies a central courtyard, a striking design element that not only serves as a visual focal point but also allows rainwater to cascade gracefully over a limestone wall, creating a soothing, natural ambiance. This combination of thoughtful accessibility features and modern industrial design results in a home that is both functional and visually captivating, offering a harmonious blend of practicality and style.
